Prajwala welcomes volunteers with the following qualities:
Passionate and dedicated to preventing sex trafficking and other forms of modern-day slavery.
Willing to take the extra mile to commit time and energy for the mission, as they are convinced it is a priority in their lives.
Able to think outside the box and explore new ideas with creativity.
There are innumerable ways to contribute if you are one for those who believes in a slavery-free world but is seriously challenged due to life circumstances to relocate to volunteer in an organization like Prajwala.
You can educate yourself about sex trafficking by learning and understanding the facts through accessing internet resources, books and documentaries.
You can develop prevention and advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about sex trafficking in your local community starting with your family.
You can work with a local group and plan small community level interventions to end human trafficking.
You can start a ‘Friends of Prajwala’ in your local community to be our voice there.
Distance Student Volunteers can gain academic credit by sending us valid evidences of your involvement and outputs achieved. Final decision to give a certificate largely rests on the validation report taken after an independent enquiry. For more ideas check our Toolkit.
Prajwala does not accept any short-term volunteers. The minimum period for volunteering is 2 years. A modest honorarium is provided to the volunteer during this period. Preference is for qualified and skilled volunteers. At any given point of time, the organization does not accept more than two volunteers.
Interested candidates may apply with a detailed resume.
